On the first Sunday in December, a Christmas tree is placed in the front yard of the church. A small ceremony between church services offers parishioners the opportunity to adorn the tree with special ornaments in memory of their loved ones. The tree is lit up every night until the end of the year. The Memorial Tree was started in 2007 in memory of Nathan Wofford, a ten year old boy who adored the Christmas season and cherished his church family.
