Under the excellent direction of Stephen Merrick, this group leads the music at our 11:00 Sunday worship services. It is diverse in age, ranging from college students through seniors. They sing an anthem weekly in worship as well as calls to prayer, etc. They also present special musical presentations during the Christmas and Lenten seasons. Stephen leads in a way that is both fun and helps the group perform at it’s very best. They practice on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the choir room.
New Haven’s worship band meets on Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. The band also plays various church events and other places in the community several times a year. They enjoy playing at Redemption Church-Tulsa, and have played for events for Circle of Care, youth rallies, and more. They also perform annual Easter and Christmas Cantatas.
Footprints Liturgical Dance
Footprints is a group of people who serve in worship through dance. Children 3rd grade and up, youth and adults are welcome to join. We meet on Sundays from 3:30 to 4:30 in the sanctuary, and we dance in both worship services about four times a year. We use a variety of styles of music, depending on the worship theme and the dancers involved. Please contact Deena Smith at 918-693-4828 for more information.
