Project Transformation is a summer camp program with a special emphasis on literacy. Daily, each child is paired with an adult volunteer to read for 30 minutes. Activities during the morning session include arts and crafts, computer skills, science, fitness, and nutrition education. Additional activities are offered in the afternoon including field trips. Students receive breakfast, lunch, and a snack daily. College students serve as interns and become Americorps members. Through the affiliation with the United Methodist Church, Project Transformation offers interns opportunities for spiritual growth and church involvement.

Our mission is to engage young adults in purposeful leadership and ministry, support underserved children and families, and connect churches to communities in need. Project Transformation is a children’s literacy program.

- Be a summer reading volunteer

- Donate new and gently read books
- Volunteer in the afternoon for an activity during the summer
