The Church has left the building!!  On Mission Sunday, New Haven members have the opportunity to “Be the Church” by participating in various mission service projects.

Upon arrival at New Haven on that particular Sunday (whether at 8:45 or 11:00), we are sent out to serve in a variety of ways.  You get to choose what you want to do, and for how long.  There are opportunities to serve for an hour…there are opportunities to serve for several hours that day.  We encourage everyone that is able to leave the church building that morning and be a part of a service project in one way or another.  There are even mission projects at the church for those who are not able to get out.

Transportation is provided to each destination and sign-up sheets are available several weeks in advance for you to choose where you would like to serve.

Mission opportunities for past Mission Sundays have included:  Restore Hope, Exodus House, Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, Pearl’s Hope, Indian Methodist Church, Life Senior Services, Ronald McDonald House, Kendall-Whittier Food Pantry, Ambassador Christian Church, Clair House, DVIS, Yard Work for elderly local church members, Card and Letter Ministry to homebound members, and several others.

If you would like more information about Mission Sunday, please contact David and Carolyn Toalson at 918-251-2911 or at [email protected].
